Learn about Savia
An outdated answer is worse than none
A knowledge base ages quietly. In Savia, new knowledge replaces old, every fact says when it dates from, and no relationship is invented.
Two versions of the same fact
In March someone notes that the Slack subscription costs €92 a month. In September someone else says it is now €118. A wiki keeps both notes, and an uncontrolled AI can blend them into one convincing sentence.
A fictional Agencia Brío example. What matters is which one is current, and since when.
A correction replaces the previous version
When someone corrects a fact in the chat, in Slack or from their own AI, Savia looks for what was already on record about the same thing in that area. The new version replaces the old one.
The old version is not deleted. It stays in Memory as history, is no longer used to answer, and an administrator can restore it. A note from the Design team cannot retire something that applies to the whole company.
Real dates and the most recent source
If someone writes “this month we invoiced €24,000”, Savia stores “in September 2026”. A year later the figure still says its month, and two months never contradict each other.
Every source arrives with its date. When two documents disagree, Savia uses the most recent one and says since when it applies.
Connected content updates, forgotten content gets noticed
Content from Notion, Google Drive, SharePoint, GitHub or Confluence is read again when it changes at the source, and anything deleted there leaves Savia. More in what you can connect.
When an area goes 90 days without new knowledge, its expert receives a short form: “what has changed?”. An expert can also update a published answer. The new version goes through review, and the old one keeps answering in the meantime.
Why Savia relates two things
Savia recognises the people, clients, tools and processes in your sources and builds a card for each one: where it appears, what it appears with and who contributed those sources.
A relationship such as “Lucía manages the Mercadona account” is only stored when a sentence in the source says it word for word, and Savia shows that sentence next to it. When two things only share a document, they appear as “mentioned together”, without an invented reason.
What was said is not the same as what is confirmed
What Savia learns from a Slack thread comes in as testimony. It is cited as “this was said in Slack” until the person who said it confirms it.
When several people say the same thing in different words, the administrator sees one card with how many said it. Repetition does not approve it. When an official answer is not useful, marking it as such opens a gap that reaches the area expert. Ten people asking an expert the same thing send one request.
What Savia does not do
Savia does not delete knowledge because it is old. A policy stays current until someone changes it, and “how much did we invoice in March?” still has an answer.
Nor does it guarantee a document is correct: it shows when it dates from and where it comes from, so you can check. See also answers with sources and the digital brain loop.
Frequently asked questions
Does Savia know which information is out of date?
Yes, in four ways: a correction replaces the previous version, when two sources disagree it uses the most recent one and says since when it applies, it stores real dates instead of “this month”, and it alerts the expert of an area with no new knowledge for 90 days.
What happens to old information when someone corrects it?
It stays in Memory as history and is no longer used to answer. An administrator can restore it if the correction was a mistake.
Does Savia delete old knowledge?
No. Nothing expires by itself: a policy stays current until someone changes it, and past figures still answer questions about the past.
How does Savia know why two documents are related?
It only stores a relationship when a sentence in the source states it word for word, and it shows that sentence next to it. When two things only share a document, they appear as “mentioned together”, without an invented reason.
Does what is said in Slack become official knowledge?
Not directly. It comes in as testimony and is cited as such. It becomes official when the person who said it confirms it.
Are Notion and Drive documents kept up to date?
Yes. They are read again when they change at the source, and anything deleted or no longer shared there also disappears from Savia.
